Fall Bible Study Update

Fall Bible studies have begun, but it is never too late to start!

Please join us Monday nights at 1830 to study Beth Moore's Living Beyond Yourself: Exploring the Fruits of the Spirit.  Or join us Tuesday mornings at 0900 to choose from three studies: Beth Moore's Living Beyond Yourself, a Scripture study of 1 Timothy, or Cathy Messecar's A Still and Quiet Soul.

Children's ministry is available on Monday and Tuesday.  A home school room is available on Tuesday.  Bring homework to the homeschool room.

Looking Ahead.. International Conference

November 1-4 is the 2012 PWOC International Conference in Nashville, Tennessee.  Please contact Lisa at misawa@pwoc.org if interested on pricing and more information.

PWOC Library

Did you know that PWOC offers a lending library?  This library exists for your edification and pleasure.  The library includes books on spiritual growth, marriage, parenting and more.  Feel free to check out books in the conference room at the Chapel.

Protestant Picnic

The Protestant Chapel Picnic in the Park is coming soon.

A combined worship service will be held on August 26 at 11am.  The ladies of PWOC have been asked to bring our yummiest desserts to enjoy after worship.

HEIRLOOMS: KEEPING A TESTIMONY FOR THE NEXT GENERATION

Join us on Saturday, September 8 at 6 pm for an evening of fellowship.  (Please note new time.)

Shannon Carollo will be sharing the importance of journaling a legacy of the Lord's movement in our lives to pass on to the next generation.  This will be a great morning to get to know more PWOC ladies and to reflect on passing generations of praise to the Lord.

Please bring an heirloom dish to share, a dinner or dessert recipe passed down in your family.

Fall Event Coming Up

Heirlooms: Keeping a Testimony for the Next Generation

Fall Bible studies will begin Monday, August 27 at 18:30 and Tuesday, August 28 at 9:00 in the Chapel Fellowship Hall.  The selection of Bible studies will be announced soon.

Ladies - NO EXERCISE CLASS THIS WEEK OR NEXT! Ethan is ill and there is a conflict next week. Class will resume  June 25th at 12:30pm to 1:30pm with Cardio Kickboxing!

New Leaders - 2012/13

Ladies, we set an installation date by faith - tomorrow! As of last night we have an approved slate as follows: Spiritual Life - Susan Barnhart; Admin Coordinator - Robin Lech; Financial Liaison - Lisa Smith. You'll note that President and Programs are vacant. Lisa will serve as the interim president through August. Please continue to pray for God to provide and reveal the women that will make up the rest of the exec board and the full joint positions. Join us tomorrow as we affirm this new board, end the year with a lunch and install new leaders. These ladies will serve us well.

Hach Trip Postponed!

Hello Ladies,

We've decided to postpone tomorrow's recycle shopping outing due to the expected snowfall.  I've heard conflicting reports but I think it's better to play it safe.  I'd hate to get to Hach and then get dumped on.  We will reschedule and keep you all posted.

A Thank You

In the past few weeks several in our group were blessed to be a blessing to a missionary family in our area. We delivered groceries, supplies and toured their new church and mission house.  

Here is a note from Debbie, "I would like to again thank everyone for blessing our family with so many groceries and supplies....the pink snow books fit Esther perfectly. She quickly traded them for the "boyish ones" she's been wearing this winter. Everything you brought seemed to be just what we needed at the moment, and I was once again reminded God will take care of us if we only continue to trust in Him."

Please be aware as PCS season approaches we will accept items which you cannot pack that are still useful (open cleaning supplies, food).  De'Etta will be the POC for this project and  make sure your leftovers bless various missionary families in the area.

Have you read "One Thousand Gifts"? Join us....even if you've not finished the book you are welcome to join us this month at New Miyaki as we discuss the dare to live fully right where we are...to consider the grace gifts in our lives and to recognize that it's all grace....

Winter Outing

Please join us this Monday (6 Feb) for an outing to Hachinohe! We will meet at the Chapel parking lot at 9 a.m. and carpool to recycle (thrift) stores and enjoy lunch. We'll leave Hachinohe about 1:30 p.m. and return before school gets out. Let me know if you are planning to join us so we don't leave anyone behind. If you woudln't mind driving please let me know. If school is delayed, we will start at 10:00 and go straight to classes, with no devotional or breakfast time.

If schoo lis cancelled, we are cancelled.

Crafting Group

The PWOC Crafting Group will meet Friday, January 20th at 6:30 p.m. at the Chapel.  A craft will be demonstrated and the supplies will be provided.  After completing this craft please bring your own supplies to continue a craft of your choice while enjoying snacks and fellowship.  Please feel free to bring a snack to share!  Hope to see you in the fellowship room across from the kitchen.  For more information please contact Kristin.
